The Asset Management Analyst will work directly under the Senior Associate and will focus on collecting, preparing and analyzing data useful in the asset management of all Lion Real Estate Group properties and will assist the Senior Associate on special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  1. Work directly under the Senior Associate to collect, analyze, and prepare data in the management of current assets.
  2. Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting packages to assist in monitoring performance in all critical areas: revenues, expenses, leasing, occupancy, etc
  3. Work on specific projects for profit improvement, cost reduction and systems enhancement
  4. Prepare and maintain files for each property that provides information on buildings, utilities, contractors, contracts, emergency procedures, property insurance, and other information necessary to operate each property
  5. Work with supervisor during the underwriting process to assist in structuring and analyzing transactions to prepare them for marketing.
  6. Complete market surveys as needed
  7. Conduct market research and analyze market data including market occupancy, rental rates, demographics, competitor positioning and economic information
  8. Update and maintain roll-up financial models in excel, working with the asset management team to update business plan assumptions as necessary
  9. Perform financial analysis on assets under ownership and work with supervisor in creating property variance budgets
  10. Assist in and prepare annual property budgets as needed.
  11. Review/Negotiate repair and renovation bids
  12. Assist with ad-hoc/special projects as needed
  13. Model in-place and prospective portfolio performance
  14. Support on organization and task management to improve Company efficiency
  15. Responsible for day-to-day communications with Supervisor and ensuring all reporting and tasks are completed on time
  16. Representing the company in a professional manner at all times
  17. Additional duties may be assigned relevant to the position and role within the company

Abilities/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or related subject required
  • Proficient computer skills. -- Must have advanced/expert skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • 1-3 years of work experience in a financial analysis capacity in real estate
  • Basic understanding of real estate asset management, including fixed asset accounting for capital projects
  • Effective people management and negotiation skills and ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams
  • Strong work ethic and ability to interface with senior management.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, multitask, and prioritize deadlines
  • Must be extremely organized & detail orientated, has excellent communication skills and requires minimal supervision.
  • Ability to make decisions, meet targets and work under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Must be a team player
