EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a related field
  • MBA a plus but not required
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Expert proficiency in Excel highly preferred
  • 1-2 years of in Financial Analysis experience preferred
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to assemble, communicate and present information clearly
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must exhibit strong analytical/critical thinking skills
  • Solve problems using a detailed and well-ordered approach
  • Work without direct supervision and independently with broad guidelines
  • Must be attentive to detail, maintain standards and actively check for data accuracy before conveying final work product
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conducts financial analysis for client's national housing portfolio, including the creation of detailed pro-forma and financial models
  • Assist with ongoing analysis of operations and performance of the existing housing portfolio, including performance vs. pro-forma
  • Construct, manipulate, and continuously modify Excel-based models to calculate returns including IRR, NPV, and cash returns
  • Support the transaction process in order to complete due diligence on targeted transactions, from acquisition to disposition
  • Prepare and review a variety of analysis regarding existing portfolio of properties, including but not limited to budgets, operating statements, appraisals, market surveys and studies
  • Create public-private venture strategies
  • Conduct analyses to address complex financial issues and determine financial deal viability
  • Assist with planning and policy issues
  • Willingness to learn, demonstrate, and apply better methods of analyzing real estate transactions
  • Provides support consistent with all aspects of determining project feasibility.
  • Assist with the design, implementation expansion and continuous improvement of portfolio management
  • Assist in preparing briefings, participate in meetings and provide technology support for databases, web solutions and benchmarking future decision making
