Who we are:

re-viv is focused on addressing the market inefficiencies of community revitalization through innovative solutions in the private equity investment and development space. We are actively seeking value-add multi-family assets and co-living opportunities in select West Coast markets. We focus on the mid-market space of $2-$25 million dollars in total capitalization. 


Re-viv has sourced and reviewed over $200 million in off-market deals with a pipeline that has exploded over 200% in the last two quarters. We’re currently undergoing another fund-raise to support the volume of projects we have in our pipeline while continuing to build meaningful relationships with key partners in our market. 


What we are looking for:

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented Director of Acquisitions to help source value add, co-living and ground-up multifamily opportunities in new and existing markets.The ideal candidate will have experience identifying key markets, proactively sourcing opportunities and closing deals, as well as working effectively with different stakeholders. We are looking for someone that is passionate about real estate and is hungry to do what it takes to close deals and scale our company.

You thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and are knowledgeable in all facets of acquisitions; including financial analysis, underwriting, operating budget analysis, location and submarket research, due diligence review, and contract negotiations. You are looking to take that next step in your career and step out into a leadership role at a fast-paced startup where you can be at the forefront of building and developing a portfolio of properties that represents our company's social impact goals. You see the rapid emergence of technology in the commercial real estate space and are prepared to align the company’s strategies with the way things are today in addition to the way things will be. 


The Director will play a key strategic role between executive leadership and the acquisition/ development teams while keeping up the pace and communicating effectively across departments. Working closely with the Principal, this person will have the opportunity to contribute in all facets of the company’s development process, from conception to completion.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead development and acquisition team on all aspects of the sourcing, due diligence, underwriting, and investment process on prospective acquisition opportunities

  • Oversee and coordinate with all external resources including attorneys, engineers, construction teams, architects, and other 3rd party consultants

  • Work with lenders, equity partners, public officials, and other stakeholders

  • Work cross-functionally with both internal and external construction and project management teams to ensure budgets and schedules are met

  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance the property portfolio and to mitigate risk.

  • Supervise our acquisitions team and review their underwriting on multifamily value add transactions

  • Create and manage processes for real estate portfolio’s statistics/data, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.

  • Lead transitions from construction asset/property management teams

  • Assist in company expansion efforts into new and existing US markets

  • Explore opportunities for entry into new asset classes

  • Manage a small staff and, along with senior leadership team, participate in the hiring of new development, finance, and project management staff


Qualifications:

  • 7+ years’ of strategic commercial real estate development/acquisition experience

  • 3+ years of management and supervisory experience

  • BA/BS required; Advanced degree preferred 

  • Strong written and oral skills

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

  • A deep desire to be part of a company that integrates technology and social capital investment

 

Location: San Francisco, California (currently we are only looking at candidates who live and have experience working in the Bay Area)

 

Remuneration: Salary and Equity partnership to be determined based on experience.
