Director, Development

The Neighborhood Development Company (NDC) is a full- service real estate developer and operator. Our mission is to develop exciting residential and commercial properties that cultivate vibrant communities. We create projects that excite us, benefit our communities and provide above market rate returns to our investors.  We are growing rapidly, with a pipeline of over 1 million square feet, and in March we launched the raise for a $100 million institutional equity fund.  NDC is a mission – driven developer, with projects in both the market rate and affordable housing arenas, and is an active participant in public-private partnerships (PPPs).

We are looking to add a senior level development executive to our team to further propel our growth.  The role of this individual will be to tenaciously drive projects forward to construction and closing – find them, design them, entitle them, and gain required approvals from our community, governmental, JV, and financial partners.

The ideal candidate will be an early – mid career professional with the passion, courage and energy to move projects forward in a competitive, dynamic and challenging environment.   Experience in the industry, including a demonstrated track record of leading projects from an early conceptual stage through closing are a must.  Experience with PPPs is extremely important; experience in both market rate and affordable housing is desired but not a requirement.  The Director, Development will receive a competitive base salary, a full benefit package, an aggressive bonus opportunity, and the opportunity for advancement.
