The Investor Relations Associate will be part of a small, but high energy Capital Markets team. The Investor Relations Associate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all Capital Markets project management functions, including all proposal and diligence activities and consultant interaction to ensure that firm objectives are accomplished within prescribed deadlines.
Role Responsibilities
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
- Maintain timeliness of the Capital Markets processes and procedures, and initiate and recommend additions or modifications, where appropriate
- Complete accurate, high-quality, and compelling requests for proposal (RFP), requests for information (RFI) and due diligence questionnaires (DDQ) from prospective investors and consultants
- Engage and collaborate with internal subject matter experts in various functions to provide current and thorough responses to proposals (e.g. Asset Management, Investments, HR, Legal)
- Ensure the brand, product messaging, and tone are consistent throughout the proposal
- Build an understanding of specific goals and objectives of different investors and consultants in order to tailor responses to the target audience
- Manage the completion of RFP/RFI/DDQ with tight deadlines, by establishing priorities through the information gathering, drafting and final approval stages
- Review and report quarterly fund performance and attribution analysis
- Cover the consultant community, including research on prospective consultants, mandates and strategic investment plans, conference attendance and telephonic and in-person meetings to fundraise on behalf of the company’s family of funds
- Organize and maintain team proposal files

Qualifications
- Minimum of 4-6 years’ relevant industry experience
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Acute attention to detail
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills
- Strong quantitative skills and ability to understand and communicate company business and investment products
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications, specifically MS Word and MS Excel
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team. Comfortable working across the organization with all levels of management
Education & Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
- Prior experience of writing or participating in an RFP process is preferred
- Experience with Yardi and Financial Models is preferred
