Responsibilities:
The Senior Analyst will be responsible for assisting the portfolio management team of a large real estate fund with modeling/financial analysis, client reporting and presentations, property valuations, investment memorandums and special projects. The real estate fund is focused on multifamily investments in the U.S. and includes a mix of operating properties and new development projects.
Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Investment and financial analyses for acquisitions and dispositions, analysis of existing portfolio properties, and quarterly appraisal process; management of critical financial information across functional teams;
• Maintain and construct proprietary portfolio financial models;
• Prepare, distribute and ensure adherence to critical deadlines for fund and investor reporting;
• Coordinate responses for investor/consultant RFPs and assist with due diligence questionnaires;
• Monitor and analyze the performance for the portfolio and Fund;
• Assist in the drafting and assembly of investment and client memorandums;
• Assist with special ad-hoc projects.
Qualifications:
• Undergrad degree in business and/or real estate with a GPA of 3.3 or higher;
• 2 to 3 years' experience in a real estate, finance or accounting position;
• Strong skills in financial analysis and modeling; high competency in constructing custom models and analyses;
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel, Word and Powerpoint; expertise in excel data analysis; Argus experience a plus but not required;
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
• Candidate should be proactive and self-motivated. Essential candidate attributes include strong work ethic, integrity and commitment to team and individual project deadlines; attention to detail
• Candidate must also possess strong interpersonal communication and writing skills;
• Must be able to work as part of a team that includes the functional areas of portfolio finance, asset management, acquisitions, research and marketing/client service.
