Senior Analyst, Borrower Services Group

The Senior Analyst is responsible for providing management and oversight of a team of Analysts and Processors in the handling of lease reviews, property management changes and loan assumptions, as well as providing other support to the Manager of the Borrower Services Group.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for handling a high volume of lease consents, property management change requests, and loan assumption requests.
• Monitor Analysts in discussions with Borrowers, brokers, & attorneys to ensure compliance with Lender standards.
• Identify loan non-compliance issues, property issues, and re-underwrite loans when necessary.
• Monitor group responsiveness and create efficiencies in process.
• Motivate group members to complete assignments in a timely fashion.
• Provide training & direction to team members pertaining to the various requests handled by the team.
• A priority will be to enhance prompt and courtesy handling of assignments and any communications with Borrowers.
• Oversee and prepare management approvals including other issues that may arise (such as changes in indemnitors or cash management accounts), and coordinate with Borrowers and Master Servicers on such issues.
• Careful review of all Recommendation Memorandums and sign-off on the Memorandums prepared by Analysts.
• Training of Analysts in understanding rent rolls, cash flow statements, property projections, to enable full understanding of underlying collateral for loans, and assumption reviews.
• Maximize appropriate fees from Borrowers for review process and efficient service. Meet budget expectations for fees and expenses.
• Negotiate loan modifications.
• Participate actively with Supervisors in obtaining new income streams for Group, including third party business.
• Willingness to be nimble to take on other responsibilities and revenue generating opportunities for the group. This will include adding responsibilities for processing other types of performing loan requests, such as collateral releases, earnouts, etc.
• Coordinate outside legal services as needed for various approvals. Assure payment for services by Borrower, or Lender, as applicable.
• Review loan documents for compliance issues and coordinate with Master Servicers, as needed, to obtain full Borrower compliance.
• Work with Surveillance Department to provide loss modifications.
• Motivate and retain staffing. Monitor courteous service and timeliness of staff.
• Cultivate relationships with local brokers to quickly ascertain market lease and commission information. Utilize various market research services available at LNR.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Superior verbal and written communication skills and ability to provide courteous and responsive review process to Borrowers on performing loans.
• Excellent organizational skills. Closely monitor and keep track of direct reports responsiveness, accuracy and training needs.
• Ability to manage and motivate a group of analysts with limited experience in the area.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks with multiple people. Self-starter and self-motivated.
• Prior experience in reviewing or brokering leases as well as working with Borrowers directly on performing loans.
• Excellent real estate financial analysis skills.
• Good computer skills including Word and Excel.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Law, or other related analytical field.
• Minimum of 4 years related work experience.
