Position Summary:
The Analyst, Housing Acquisitions job supports the acquisitions of Nuveen's housing portfolio and provides support for its strategic relationships. Working under close supervision, this job will assist executing on multifamily and student housing acquisitions and dispositions.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Support transaction officers in the due diligence and closing of multifamily and student housing acquisitions and dispositions. This employee will be a key transaction team member touching the entire spectrum of the transaction process.
- Assist in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations and the production of investment committee memorandums
- Assist Transactions Officers by working collaboratively with internal stakeholders including Asset Management, Portfolio Management, Engineering, Legal, and Accounting, in addition to external third party service providers including property managers, brokers, partners, consultants, lenders and developers
- Assists with the coordination and compliance of all requirements for the closing and funding of real estate acquisition and development transactions.
- Helps conduct market research of potential real estate investment opportunities that support the company’s real estate investment and financial objectives.
- Assists with sourcing new real estate acquisition opportunities and tracking active deals in the market.
- Supports in the development of external relationships with key market participants, investment sales, leasing brokers, and lenders.
- Contributes to identifying increased efficiencies in the budgeting and operations of real estate and property assets, and develops materials to track them.
- Participates in the due diligence process for asset acquisition and property development opportunities.
- Commercial real estate valuation experience
- Excellent command of Excel, including proficiency with advanced analytical spreadsheet skills
- Familiarity with PowerPoint; RedIQ and Yardi a plus
- Familiarity with multifamily real estate fundamentals and terminology
