Real Estate Financial Analyst

Our Company is seeking an experienced and talented Real Estate Financial Analyst for our corporate office located in the Miami, FL area. This position will be assisting the executive team of our Multifamily Development Division in underwriting primarily market rate apartment developments as well as workforce and affordable housing development opportunities!

Responsibilities include:

• Financial Modelling
  • Assist with the preparation of applications for financing to public entities and financial institutions.
  • Perform market research to verify economic assumptions used in pro formas.
  • Perform rental rate analysis. Cultivate broker relationships for market information.
  • Identify economic/general issues with potential economic impact to investment/development strategy.
  • Update financial models with actual data to evaluate financial performance of existing and prospective investments.
  • Create financial models to evaluate property investment exit strategies with operating costs/revenue and income streams,
• Due Diligence
  • Assist with acquisition due diligence.
  • Assist with physical due diligence (including review of contracts, preparing the budgets, gathering the consultants) of potential acquisitions.
• Corporate Initiatives
  • Support multiple Executives with financial models and analysis.
  • Work with Development Associates to resolve development issues.
  • Assist various company personnel in the fundamentals of Excel.
  • Perform special projects/analysis for Executives.
  • Summarize and present findings and recommendations succinctly externally and internally.

Requirements:

• Must have a Bachelors/Masters degree in Finance, Real Estate or a related field.
• Must have high proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel is a must.
• Must have outstanding quantitative skills.
• 2-4 years of experience in Real Estate Finance is a must!
• Must be a able to work independently, be reliable and organized.
• Must be professional, energetic and positive.
• Must have superb customer service skills.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
