The Senior IT Buyer, as part of the global Procure to Pay (P2P) team at CoStar, shall contribute to the development of and is responsible for working with Manager P2P or Senior Director, P2P for assisting in the sourcing strategy for the business units. The Senior Buyer manages assigned supply bases and catalogue content, researches and resolves requisition-process issues. Additionally, the Senior Buyer provides support for analytical reports on spend and metrics to the Manager P2P or Senior Director, P2P in all P2P related tasks as on global level as necessary. The Senior Buyer is responsible for maintaining accuracy in CoStar's Oracle Cloud ERP system and contributing toP2P performance within the overall category/ P2P strategy. With regards to CoStar's procure to pay optimization initiative, the Senior Buyer is expected to drive improvements in efficiency and automation within the requisition to pay process, contribute to ongoing process improvements, and support the implementation of a global procure to pay system.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Setup and maintain supplier database in Oracle Cloud ERP system.
  • Ensure suppliers are set up correctly in the Oracle Cloud ERP system.
  • Assist in pulling reports on as needed basis for executive management and procure to pay colleagues.
  • Pulling and sending out total P2P metrics on monthly bases to the executive team.
  • Responsible for savings and KPI achievements and its reporting.
  • Effectively manage requisition to pay process and train new users on the process.
  • Work closely with accounts payable to insure accurate and timely payments as needed.
  • Work closely with the Financial Systems team on updates or issues with the Oracle Cloud ERP system.
  • Serve as a Super User to the procurement module and resolve" tier-1" support cases.
  • Keep abreast of assigned category trends, market and economic conditions and other opportunities to leverage during overall negotiations of the local supply base.
  • Supporting the procure to pay team in developing commodity and supplier strategies.
  • Execute sourcing strategies/negotiations as defined by the Manager P2P or Senior Director, P2P
  • Support sourcing process, identify local/global supply needs, solicit quotes, tender and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Analysis of supply markets for the assigned commodity groups in alignment and under supervision of Manager P2P or Senior Director, P2P
  • Initiate and assist the Business owners in the set-up of purchase orders, non-Catalog forms, and internal catalogs, punch-out catalogs in line with contracts or single-case procurement activities such as: expediting, changes, delivery, cancellations, acknowledgements, verify requisition against catalogue availability, etc.
  • Manage and audit all pricing & set up of any local punch-out catalogs.
  • Support implementation and increase utilization of procure to pay system from a local perspective.
  • Drive early procure to pay involvement and pro-actively conduct internal customer care


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree required in supply chain/procurement, business, sciences, technology, or related field and >2 years procurement experience
  • Experience (2-5 years) in Sourcing, Databases, Analytics, Contracts and Procurement of indirect materials and services
  • Negotiation skills or education and good experience in supplier management.
  • Strong customer care focus
  • Works well with a team and independently
  • Knowledge of procure to pay principles, process, and price/cost analysis methodology
  • Knowledge of procure to pay relevant legal terms and methodologies
  • Oracle (data entry skills) and MS Office knowledge (data entry skills)
  • Language skills required: English - must be fluent


PREFERRED QUALIFCATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Any other language skills, i.e., German, Spanish, Mandarin, is a plus.
