The Real Estate Asset Manager will support multiple functions for all Horning Brothers assets including but not limited to acquisitions, development, financing, and property management.  This person will be responsible for:  Modeling, analysis, reporting, structuring and financial evaluation for development projects, income producing assets and new acquisitions.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for supporting financing transactions for portfolio of real estate transactions including all aspects of due diligence.
  • Financial analysis related to portfolio of real estate assets and potential development projects.
  • Preparation and coordination of reporting to both internal and external parties.
  • Responsible for management of organizational documents.
  • Provide assistance with insurance and risk management for the portfolio
  • Support development activities including task management, overseeing consultants, review/analyze legal documents, financial reports, and operating plans

Skills/Competencies:

  • Solid understanding of financial valuation concepts (financial ratios, IRR, NPV, etc.)
  • Very Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Word)
  • Knowledge of real estate software such as Yardi, MRI preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Able to advocate, organize, problem-solve and produce results
  • Effective time-management, organization and writing skills
  • Excellent relationship building, networking, interpersonal and autonomy skills

Education/Relevant Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Real Estate
  • Minimum of three years in Real Estate experience in finance or asset management

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to remain seating/standing in front of computer monitor for long periods of time
  • Able to travel in the DC region
