ASSOCIATE

Acquisitions & Asset Management

 

Responsibilities

  • Underwrite and evaluate potential real estate acquisitions and developments
  • Organize and manage the due diligence process, including the review and analysis of leases, property operating performance, legal documentation and other investment-related information
  • Perform complex financial analyses, including the creation of cash flow projections, operating proformas, equity waterfalls and financial models for evaluating potential acquisitions and developments
  • Assist with the acquisition and disposition processes by coordinating with buyers, sellers, lenders, institutional equity partners and escrow companies
  • Contribute to asset management functions including budget and financial reviews, lease sensitivity analysis, refinancings and dispositions
  • Prepare investment summaries and memoranda to be presented to the firm’s Principals and equity partners
  • Collect and evaluate economic and market data
  • Interface with equity partners, lenders and local brokerage contacts
  • Participate in property tours and conduct property and site inspections
  • Update and maintain acquisition pipeline on a weekly basis

 

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of full-time experience in acquisitions, asset management and/or investment sales required
  • Undergraduate degree in real estate, finance, economics or a related field with a strong record of academic achievement
  • Ability to manage and complete multiple projects and priorities within agreed upon deadlines
  • Experience underwriting institutional quality commercial properties
  • Ability to produce high-quality deliverables in an accurate and timely manner
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel modeling is required and Argus experience is preferred
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail and desire to succeed are essential
  • Ability to work autonomously, while having the capacity to excel within a group dynamic
  • Strong written and oral communication, graphical presentation, and interpersonal skills
