The District of Columbia’s Housing Authority is seeking candidates for the position of Senior Development Manager in its Office of Capitol Programs (OCP). The primary purpose of this position is to provide project management, team leadership and technical expertise to the Development Division to accomplish its primary goal of development and rehabilitation of affordable housing in Washington, DC.

 

The Development Division is a division within OCP that is responsible for the planning, design, financing, project management and oversight of all phases of the development process.  This includes the revitalization of antiquated public housing including necessary connections and improvements to surrounding neighborhoods. It is a very fluid and dynamic environment, and the Senior Development Manager will manage in a team environment with highly motivated and dedicated staff.

 

Education and Experience Requirements

 

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in real estate, or other related field; and at least (7) seven years of related experience in public housing, affordable housing, and/or real estate redevelopment environment, with at least two of the seven years of experience in a supervisory capacity; or the equivalent combination of education and experience which meet the minimum qualifications requirement may be substituted.
