Purpose of the role
We are seeking to recruit a head of US Debt Asset Management based in New York or Charlotte with responsibilities across commercial and residential real estate debt strategies, and specialty finance investments in the US. This is an opportunity to join an experienced senior management team well versed in the industry with a focus on growth of assets and deployment of capital.
As the Head of the team, the candidate will be responsible for all elements within their function, which may include driving areas of business growth, controlling the team budget, and managing the team. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating operational activity and owning the post-close loan management process. This includes closing, funding, monitoring construction and development projects, and maintaining relationships with borrowers, intermediaries, and servicers.

- Relied upon to deliver high level outcomes that support the growth of the US real estate and specialty lending strategies
- Oversight of closing and funding process for loans and ownership of post-close loan management process
- Maintain relationships with borrowers, intermediaries, and servicers and develop relationships with borrowers with the aim of originating new loan opportunities
- Work closely with internal stakeholders on operational aspects of loan management, for example Middle Office Accounting
- Participate as a Voting Member on Investment Committees for US real estate and specialty lending strategies
Key competencies
- Highly experienced individual with domain expertise including in-depth knowledge of real estate transactions and the loan management process
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage a standalone function or strategy
- Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
