THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re seeking a talented Senior Commercial Real Estate Financing Analyst to join our growing team.

The Senior Commercial Real Estate Financing Analyst/Deal Placer is responsible for analyzing individual transactions, identifying appropriate debt/equity capital providers based on that analysis, proactively marketing transactions, and working closely with both clients and capital sources to successfully structure term sheets and execute a process that results in a win for all parties.

The Senior Commercial Real Estate Financing Analyst/Deal Placer will work with senior origination team members to understand the unique aspects of each deal, develop a custom marketing strategy based on deal parameters, and lead efforts to uncover the best capital sources for the opportunity at hand.  This requires an intimate knowledge of the deal-making process, an understanding of core assets and their underwriting, excellent CRE written and verbal communication skills, and a "client-first" mindset.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

•     Providing transaction-focused support to Principals of Quantum;

•     Reviewing financial statements, operating statements, leases, and other due diligence material;

•     Developing financial models, cash flow projections, and underwriting using Excel;

•     Creating financing packages for prospective lenders;

•     Securing and negotiating term sheets from prospective lenders;

•     Keeping track of deals in Ascendix and following up with lenders to assure timely responses;

•     Coordinate due diligence, property inspections, lease review, and loan closing;

•     Interacting with clients and capital providers;

•     Handling minimal administrative tasks within the office.

REQUIREMENTS:

•     Smart, motivated, and ambitious;

•     Minimum of 1-2 years of commercial real estate experience;

•     Strong academic background and undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics, management or real estate. Real estate program or coursework a plus;

•     Must have a California Real Estate License or be able to take and pass the exam within four months of start date (real estate classes will be paid for by firm);

•     Excellent analytical, financial modeling, research, and strong writing skills;

•     Real estate underwriting and valuation experience a plus;

•     Familiarity with internet based real estate research resources for market information, interest rates, etc.;

•     Advanced use of Microsoft Office including Excel required. Argus and Publisher a plus;

•     Ability to create financial models from scratch;

•     Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task.
