Financial Controller

Heartwood is a seeking an adventurous, high-energy, and strategically-minded financial wizard. We are an extremely fast-growing, agile team, constantly operating outside our comfort zone, and we need a detail-oriented, growth-obsessed professional who wants to come along for the ride.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Overall management of the company’s finance and accounting departments

• Implement scalable processes and systems for the company’s finance and

  accounting department, including construction operations, development operations,

  and fund accounting

• Mentor and develop finance and accounting team as the company grows

• Provide strategic financial planning and forecasting for the company, its

  construction operations, and development projects

• Oversee and execute treasury, accounts receivable, and accounts payable

• Maintain up to date company- and project-level financial statements

• Ensure adequate company cash flow and liaise with development managers to

  produce draw requests

• Advise executive leadership in determining tax efficient capital structures,

  appropriate debt levels, and optimal cash balances

• Oversee audit, tax preparation and risk management activities
