You will provide supervision for the complete daily operation of a construction project. 

The Retail Traveling and Local Superintendent career is national or local (Metro Detroit) based on the team member's availability.

Career Specifics:

The Retail Superintendent is responsible for interfacing with owners, architects, the city and subcontractors from construction commencement through turnover and closeout. The Superintendent's main focus is manage the schedule, quality and safety in order to keep the project moving forward quickly and efficiently.

Who You Are:

  • Demonstrates and models Sachse Construction's core values
  • 5+ years retail construction experience
  • 2+ years as seasoned traveler
  • Project experience with interior renovations, ground-up, established malls and new mall environments, renovation work in occupied and unoccupied environments, urban and suburban work locations
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, including MS Project

Preferred Certifications:

  • OSHA 30 hour
  • CPR / First Aid / AED Training
  • Lead / Asbestos Awareness
  • LEED Accreditation
  • Storm Water Certification

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Oversee project from inception to completion to ensure a perfect closeout
  • Organize, lead and monitor daily activities of entire project team (trade partners, vendors, laborers, etc.)
  • Communicate effectively with team, trade partners, owners, architects, and clients
  • Set up & facilitate progress meetings
  • Ensure project complies with requirements and established standards
  • Create, monitor and meet project schedules
  • Maintain project budget
  • Prepare and submit paperwork (Permits, licenses, change orders, etc.)
  • Maintain a safe and clean job site (and site office)
