Job Title: Development Coordinator

Type: Full Time, Exempt

Starting Pay Range: $60,000 - $75,000 annually, depending on experience

Bonus: May be eligible for annual bonuses.

Location: Denver, Colorado

Urban Villages is seeking Development Coordinator to support new and existing development projects.   The ideal candidate has a minimum three years of work experience in development, design management, or construction management and is eager to continue growing their professional skills and exposure. 

 

Position Overview:

The Development Coordinator will support the Development Team in the development of new and existing real estate projects, from project conception through turnover. Key responsibilities for the position include helping manage design, construction, and other third-party consultants; assisting with entitlements, city permits, and community outreach; helping track and report on projects; and assisting with other tasks as needed to keep projects on budget and schedule. Prior experience working with multidisciplinary teams through the design, development, or construction process required.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the tracking and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and permitting
  • Assist in review and approval of invoices across multiple projects
  • Help  manage and coordinate the selection process for project consultants, including design teams, general contractors, interior design firms, and other third-party teams
  • Assist in the management of design teams and other third parties working on the project to ensure that scopes of work and schedules are met
  • Assist in reporting on project status, preparing meeting documentation for internal and external uses
  • Assist with design and construction phase comment consolidation and reporting
  • Periodically update underwriting and project assumptions based on market research
  • Track RFIs, submittals, and other construction-related functions
  • Coordinate, attend and prepare summaries of  internal and external meetings, surveys, and other data-gathering efforts, and  follow-up on tasks resulting from same
  • Assist with sample coordination, distribution and delivery; set up and break down meetings; prepare documents, coordinate signatures; pay invoices; close out permits; document management, and other support services on an as-needed basis
  • Other tasks as necessary to support the development projects, development team, and company corporate goals, including sustainability and attainable housing solutions

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 – 4 years of relevant project or development management experience managing multi-family, retail, hospitality and/or mixed-use projects
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in design, urban studies, engineering, construction management, real estate, or related field preferred
  • Ability to manage and track multiple priorities and schedules to mitigate risk, minimize delays
  • Ability to understand, analyze, and synthesize multiples sources of information and ideas to find commonalities, make connections, and develop new ideas
  • Understanding of sustainable programs and metrics
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a timely manner
  • Excellent writing and strong verbal communication skills
  • Absolute discreteness in receiving and handling sensitive information
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to professionally interact with a broad range of clientele/relationships
  • Strong work ethic and ability to accomplish objectives with limited daily supervision and oversight
  • Willingness to preform administrative support
  • Ability to travel
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite

 

Compensation: 

Compensation will be commensurate with skills and experience.  Employees may be eligible to participate in benefits packages, which include medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid holidays, flex time off, and public transit pass.
