JOB SUMMARY
The CBRE HSE Emergency Preparedness Program Manager position is part of the EHS Compliance Team and acts as the subject matter expert for providing the development of emergency preparedness plans and programs on a global scale. This position helps develop operational guidance for company emergency response.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Research and develop emergency preparedness programs and standards for response operations during an emergency or disaster scenario.
Develop and track global metrics against emergency readiness.
Analyze and contrast readiness level for groups on a global level.
Develop and host emergency response tabletop exercises.
Work with internal departments that will respond to emergencies in their regions globally.
Participate in inter departmental meetings as the subject matter expert.
Review existing emergency response plans and preparations and revise as necessary,
Any additional duties delegated by the EHS Emergency Management Program Manager.
Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees.

Working knowledge of and experience operating in the Incident Command System.
Experience with Emergency Management Planning or Crisis Management Planning.
Experience working cross functionally when developing detailed emergency response plans.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university. BS in Emergency Management or EHS related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years experience developing emergency and disaster response plans and programs preferred. 5 years working in an emergency response related field preferred.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
PgMP (Program Management Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional) certifications preferred. Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or other relevant certification preferred.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Project Management experience and expertise, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Applicable experience developing emergency management plans, programs, and policies in the private sector, in the technology industry preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
