Job Description:

Applebaum Ventures is seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and skilled Asset Manager to lead the operations of its multi-family real estate platform.  This individual will be responsible for driving property level performance of a growing multi-family real estate portfolio and assist in building the infrastructure of a growing management platform.  This position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing company that encourages collaboration and innovation.

• Lead and implement asset strategy cross-functionally with other team members and outside parties to achieve investment underwriting targets for the properties.
• Conduct regular property inspections to assess physical condition, maintenance needs, and market competitiveness.
• Responsible for supervising onsite property management teams, including leasing, maintenance, and property management professionals.
• Oversee the leasing and management of properties, including negotiating commercial leases, and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Design, coordinate, and execute maintenance and capital improvement projects.
• Negotiate and manage relationships with third-party service providers.
• Coordinate and review annual property budgets and asset management plans with both the Investments and Operations teams.
• Analyze monthly and quarterly property financial reporting.
• Investigate variances and communicate ongoing performance.
• Work closely with other professionals within the family office to ensure that the direct multi-family real estate portfolio aligns with the overall wealth and investment strategy.
• Present on status of asset strategy objectives and communicate new areas of opportunity.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial real estate and have at least four (4) years of relevant work experience.  The candidate should demonstrate excellent project management skills, resourcefulness, time management, communication and must be technologically proficient.  An ideal candidate is a self-starter that works well independently and has a desire to continuously learn and grow.

• Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, business, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in real estate asset management, with a focus on multi-family properties, and/or experience in acquisitions, property management or development.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Great understanding of financial analysis and budgeting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on task management and completion.
• A desire to work in a high growth and evolving business.
• A passion for success, learning, a positive attitude, and consistent work ethic are a must.

• An advanced degree or certificate, such as a MBA – Real Estate, MS- Real Estate Development, CAIA, or similar designations.
• Experience with real estate market research and relevant data providers (e.g., Yardi Matrix, CoStar).
• Experience with Yardi suite of products.
• Experience working in a family office or serving high-net-worth clients.
