Savanna is seeking to fill an Analyst position on its acquisitions and asset management team.
 
Founded in 1992, Savanna is a vertically-integrated real estate investment manager headquartered in New York City and primarily focused on strategic property investments throughout the city’s five boroughs. Savanna’s team of investment, project management, construction, property management, and leasing professionals has executed a wide array of business plans including repositioning, redevelopment, and ground-up development projects. Savanna has invested over $5 billion in total capital across approximately 17 million square feet of real estate.
 
The analyst’s primary responsibilities include underwriting new acquisitions, assisting in property due diligence, asset management including managing the financial reporting and budgeting process, and asset disposition.
 
The position is heavily reliant on a strong financial background with a focus on real estate finance. General accounting familiarity, strong modeling and analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are expected.
 
Argus experience is required.
 
Candidates must be available to start working full-time by July 2023.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Financial modeling, analysis, and underwriting for investment opportunities
  • Market research, asset/risk analysis for investment opportunities
  • Prepare investment memos
  • Asset due diligence
  • Interact with institutional investors, partners, and external service providers
  • Assist to identify/source investment opportunities
  • Manage internal asset management models and Argus files
 
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 12 months commercial real estate financial modeling/underwriting and investment experience or bank training
  • Familiarity with New York City and/or Northeast Corridor markets
  • Understanding of basic real estate fundamentals, terms, financial concepts (NOI, cash flow, IRR, discount and cap rates, present value and discounted cash flow) and accounting
  • Strong capability in Excel, Argus, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to construct, apply and analyze complex financial models
  • Strong written, oral and presentation communication skills
  • Excellent research skills
  • Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative information
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to multi-task under pressure
  • Ability to maintain exact attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, proactive, creative and an excellent listener
  • Strong desire to work independently and collaboratively in driven environment
  • Professional presentation

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $125,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired may only be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Savanna sponsored benefit programs.
