Chief Experience Officer (CEO)

Norristown Chamber of Commerce seeks a dynamic individual to become the Chief Experience Officer (CEO). Norristown, the county seat of Montgomery County in Pennsylvania, is a community in transition and seeks to reclaim the prominent stature it once held. Due to strong business community and civic leadership, focused aspirations, and significant public and private investment, Norristown is poised to flourish in the 2020’s.

The CEO will serve as a catalytic leader, connector, and problem solver. Possessing high energy, a winning personality, presence, and political savvy with a strong marketing orientation and technology bent, the CEO will form relationships with a wide variety of constituencies and stakeholders—businesses and homeowners, artists, visitors, volunteers, and elected and appointed officials—to generate enthusiasm for people to work and to play in Norristown. The CEO will connect resources, e.g., contractors and other service providers, to property owners. The CEO will also be charged with fomenting collaborations and partnerships with academics and students to create a laboratory of learning to study and to document Norristown’s renewed vibrancy.
