Description
We are looking for a Senior Controller to join our team and lead our Accounting, Legal, IT, Risk Management, and Aviation divisions of the company. The Senior Controller will guide the strategic direction and planning for their divisions. This position is a critical member of the company leadership team and will partner with Real Estate and Capital Market teams to provide meaningful performance reporting.
The right applicant must have a bachelor's degree (required, master’s degree preferred) in accounting or finance, at least five years of experience in a similar position, active CPA license highly preferred and have strong knowledge of accounting, tax, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and proven leadership abilities.
You will be part of the senior management team and working closely with the owners and every member of the Executive Leadership team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a high level of professionalism and integrity is required. Must have a proven history of implementing new processes and creating efficiencies along with demonstrated management and development of staff and team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
§ Strong knowledge of current accounting principles and tax rules and regulations.
§ Understanding appropriate internal controls necessary to ensure safety of all company assets and business entities.
§ Proficient in all Microsoft Office products. Knowledge and experience in working in Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains preferred.
§ Ability to explain complex financial matters in a clear and understandable fashion.
§ Comprehensive financial planning experience to include budget reviews and financial planning and analysis.
§ Works effectively with minimal direction, self-starter.
Education & Training:
• Bachelor’s Degree (masters preferred) with a major in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- Prior tax experience highly preferred
• Active CPA license strongly preferred.
- Prior Real Estate experience preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 7-10 years accounting and financial management experience; 5-7 years in a senior level position.
