Position Summary:

IEC is looking for an energetic, skilled Marketing & Training Manager to support our teams and initiatives throughout our portfolio of California & Washington apartment communities.  The Marketing & Training Manager will be responsible for driving best practices and processes, creating/revising/implementing marketing strategies to optimize the portfolio’s NOI in addition to creating and deploying a scalable and programmatic sales training program while assisting with supporting our suite of software.  This role will report directly to the President of PSC, out of our Brea, California office with routine travel throughout our portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Routinely aggregates and publishes marketing KPI dashboard which identifies marketing and sales trends across the portfolio (mystery shop scores, gross/net closing ratios, ILS effectiveness, etc.).
  • Reviews and analyzes monthly reports to determine if each asset is achieving its goals and collaborate with the Regional Managers to pivot as necessary.
  • Responsible for the development and routine updates of all property websites.  Checks for accuracy, grammar, and all other pertinent information.
  • Develop marketing materials such as signage, banners, brochures.
  • Routinely visits designated properties, in accordance with a schedule established for that purpose with the President and Regional Managers.
  • Develops a consistent, effective social media marketing program for each site. 
  • Assesses curb appeal, prospect tour paths, amenity presentation, rent-ready unit presentation and mini models and makes the appropriate recommendations.






  • Observes the operation of the leasing offices of individual properties to determine ways to enhance such operations and makes recommendations.
  • Spearheads the onboarding process for all new hires to ensure that our associates are set up for success.
  • Maintains our learning management system, Yardi Aspire, by creating learning paths, developing content and following up on outstanding items
  • Conducts sales, marketing and other training classes on a routine and ongoing basis.  
  • Creates and implements a training program that leverages the regional support team to train their respective associates.
  • Coordinates & monitors maintenance training to ensure consistency across the portfolio and oversees the portfolio’s safety training compliance.
  • Ensures designated properties are registered for semi-annual mystery shops, reviews results, acknowledges the top scores while proposing solutions to address under performance.




  • Supports the entire organization on Yardi & RealPage products: Yardi Voyager, Yardi Aspire, RealPage Knock CRM and other relevant products.
  • Spearheads the roll out of other technological initiatives, as appropriate.  
  • Lead the leasing office due diligence during acquisitions, including, but not limited to: lease file audit, interviewing team members and marketing items.
  • Assists in establishing the leasing offices in newly acquired properties by ensuring that the appearance and functional organization of the offices is appropriate and that all marketing forms, procedures and programs are in place and understood.    
  • Responsible for upkeeping marketing & training records organized within SharePoint and Aspire LMS.
  • Executes other responsibilities and projects as deemed appropriate.




  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with Yardi Voyager, Realpage Knock CRM and related platforms is preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • 3-5 years of apartment community marketing experience
  • Proficient in Fair Housing policies and procedures 
  • Excellent problem solving, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
  • A passion for driving successful projects and creating impactful change
  • A self-starter with pro-active initiative 
  • Must work well with others 
  • Strong communication ability, both verbally and in writing. Ability to write business correspondence, engaging media content and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, peers, onsite staff, and vendors.
  • Open to travel locally and regionally
  • Valid driver’s license
