Candidate will be responsible for the asset management and underwriting of a wide range of commercial real estate debt and equity investments, including various construction projects.  Collaborating directly with senior members of the real estate team, the candidate will be charged with monitoring, reporting, modeling, and underwriting of investments. Investments include senior bridge loans, mezzanine loans, preferred equity and equity collateralized by various property types (multifamily, industrial, hotels, office, retail, student housing and condominiums). The position will be based in New York City.



  • Responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and reporting on various types of investments, including construction.
  • Assist and lead the asset management of investments from monthly servicing and waterfalls, proforma analyses, lease reviews to analysis of taxes and insurance.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for senior management and investors.
  • In-depth analysis of financial performance of properties and portfolios.
  • Monitor requestions and construction progress to proactively address issues early.
  • Review annual operating budgets to determine feasibility of plan and strategy.
  • Maintain portfolio models and valuations of properties and loans.
  • Proactively manage and monitor investments to determine best course of action.
  • Asist and maintain relationships with borrowers, servicers, real estate brokers, and investors.
  • Analyze Excel models to assist in preparation of investor & investment committee packages.
  • Underwrite and assist with transaction deal management across various asset classes.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and assist with special projects, as needed.



  • Minimum of 2 – 5 years of relevant commercial real estate asset management experience.
  • Prior CRE finance experience in asset management and underwriting of debt and equity investments, including analysis of construction projects.
  • Strong credit and underwriting experience in commercial real estate.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate.
  • Ability to proactively identify and mitigate property and portfolio risks.
  • Familiarity with CRE loan and equity documentation.
  • Well-organized, strong independent work ethic with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Self-starter who can effectively prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, ARGUS, PowerPoint, and CoStar.
  • Distinguished academic achievement with coursework in finance, accounting, or statistics.
