Financial Analyst / Leasing Associate - Commercial Property Owner / Manager(Moorestown, NJ)

SFA, a commercial owner and management firm in the Philadelphia area, is seeking a financial analyst / leasing associate. The firm is an established owner and manager with a proven track record and a strong reputation within the industry and the local marketplace. The corporate culture is casual yet hard working, with a very flat management structure where everyone has a voice in the operations of the firm.

Job Description:

 

As the sole analyst for a small and thriving company, the analyst will have the unique opportunity to work on the front lines of deal closing as well as develop quantitative underwriting skills and attain a firm understanding of real estate fundamentals and debt financing. The analyst will be required to wear a number of hats while being engaged in several transactions at the same time.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for applicants with a finance, accounting or real estate background seeking to learn both the ‘bricks and sticks’ and financing sides of the real estate industry in an environment where learning is encouraged. Due to the small size of the company, the analyst will gain tremendous real world experience and directly affect and share in the bottom line of the firm.


Job responsibilities:

-Performing cash flow analysis of various property types
-Interacting with clients to gather due diligence materials
-Creating financing request packages that include property cash flows, valuations and loan sizings, as well as market, property and borrower analyses
-Managing the due diligence process to facilitate loan closings
-Managing a database of capital sources and creating marketing materials
-Leasing and marketing of commercial space throughout the portfolio

Qualifications:

-4 year college degree is required

-Experience in commercial real estate or banking is preferred

- Strong writing, organizational and cash flow modeling skills required

- Attention to detail is critical.

-Background in Finance, Accounting and/or Real Estate

-Outgoing and willing to speak with and meet clients, lenders and 3rd parties

-Hungry to learn the business

-Excited to work in a fast past environment

-Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word

-Microsoft Access experience a plus

 

Compensation will be commensurate with the qualifications of the candidate.
