Oxford Economics (OE) is seeking sales professionals (Sales Managers up to Sales VP) for its Real Estate team, to be based in New York or Boston.

The role will be a mixture of existing client management, new subscription sales, attending industry events, forming new industry partnerships and working with our global team on growing cross-border accounts

Territory, Remuneration and Job Title all TBD, based on the individuals experience.

You will have a sales administrator working with you and you be supported by the wider global real estate team.





Sales and Client Management Roles

  • Drive sales of OE’s subscription services by sourcing new opportunities from out-bound cold calls and emails, incoming enquiries, existing relationships with current clients, provided market specific lists and following up on real estate event and conference lists.
  • Research companies, gain intelligence and identify key individuals within these firms to target for sales opportunities. Utilize various market analytical tools provided to identify and reach out to key contacts.
  • Identify each opportunity by evaluating their need for Oxford’s economic data and forecasts.
  • Conduct as necessary, face to face and web-based demos
  • Complete all parts of the selling process as well as closing the sale
  • Manage relationships with existing clients, identify cross-selling opportunities and agree client  renewals within your Book of Business.
  • Client support and where necessary, liaise with relevant economists for client queries.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the subscription products and become proficient at providing demonstrations of such services.
  • Manage and utilise CRM so Senior Management can track all sales activity.
  • Liaise as appropriate with other regional and global sales heads to identify sales opportunities, manage existing cross-border real estate clients and support cross-border sales as required.
  • Work closely with the Business Development Co-ordinator (BDC) who will support you by providing contact lists, liaise with you on event organisation and help manage CRM

Skills and Experience:  Required:

  • At least 3 years of proven B2B business development and/or sales experience, most notably promoting research/data-related subscription based solutions to real estate firms and similar organizations.
  • Must be a self-starter, and proactive in creating and attaining ambitious goals for him/herself.  A drive to succeed is very important.
  • Four-year degree from an accredited institution or university required - Master’s degree a plus.
  • Proven track record of successfully converting leads to closed sales.
  • Highly organized and proficient in managing calendars, reports, and lists. Must be able to prioritize tasks accordingly and take action as needed.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.  Must be comfortable communicating at all levels of an organization, from entry level staff to the C-Suite of our organization.
  • Proficiency in all MS Windows Platforms (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and LinkedIn.
  • Must be a self-starter, and proactive in creating and attaining ambitious goals for him/herself.  A drive to succeed is very important.
  • Must be a hands-on, collaborative team player that will assist his/her colleagues when needed.
  • Must be able to speak and write fluently in English.  Fluency in other languages is desirable but not required.
  • Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and the ability to travel within the U.S and Canada
