Community Engagement Program Manager

Prosper Portland, the economic development agency for the City of Portland, seeks a community engagement professional who can lead and support the agency in its efforts to collaborate with community-based partners to make our city a better place to live for all Portlanders. We are relentless in our pursuit to create an economy that realizes healthy complete neighborhoods and equitable prosperity for our city, and this position will play an intimate role by developing a lasting framework that will guide the agency's community engagement practices. You will work with community members and support project managers by developing best practices, rolling out programs to support their efforts, and navigating complex community centered processes. Your efforts will build strong collaborative relationships and maximize our capacity for community engagement that improves awareness, access and participation for all Portlanders.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for inclusive community-based engagement, along with the flexibility and capacity to guide the agency in its strategic public involvement efforts inside of complex and sometimes politically charged projects. Positivity, energy, strong self-awareness, and sharply honed listening skills will be essential to this role.’

Salary Range:  $81,996 - $107,973
