We are the Orlando International Airport! The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) operates OIA and the Orlando Executive Airport. Our airport is a world-class facility serving more than 46 million guests each year and growing.

POSITION SUMMARY:  Manage facility appearance using a combination of in-house personnel and service contracts for the maintenance and repair of carpentry, painting, and graphics for the terminal buildings, airsides, parking garages and other support structures for the Orlando International Airport. Responsible for managing and coordinating the Maintenance Department emergency response programs and staying current on all GOAA emergency response and security procedures, ensuring proper response as required. Review, study and interpret architectural drawings, plans, and specifications for proposed projects during the design phase. Review technical specifications, initiate the procurement process and participate through contract award. Maintain compliance with contract requirements for service and material contracts. Oversee the Carpenter, Painter, and Graphics Shops in the Maintenance Department. Perform other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor degree in building Construction, Management, or Facilities Management, and six (6) years’ experience in a large-scale Operations & Maintenance organization, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Airport experience preferred; supervisory experience managing operations and multiple alteration/maintenance projects required.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of personnel and project management, construction, and overall maintenance functions.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have effective supervisory/management skills.
  • Must be able to develop and implement maintenance processes and procedures effectively.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license required.
  • Facilities Management Administrator (FMA) or Certified Facility Manager (CFM) upon hire or within 2 years of hire.
