Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Transaction Manager with 5+ years of commercial real estate experience.  Commercial and/or multifamily production and underwriting experience required, with Life Company, CMBS and Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac experience preferred. The Senior Transaction Manager’s primary responsibility will be to manage all facets of the commercial and multifamily debt and equity procurement process, including, but not limited to, managing the underwriting and packaging of placement opportunities and supervising / spearheading the closing process.  This position affords the opportunity to work as part of an origination team on the sourcing, structuring, underwriting and closing of real estate transactions.  The candidate will work directly with the Managing Directors in procurement efforts and will interface with capital sources and users of capital on a daily basis. 

 
Essential Job Duties:
  • Analyze, interpret and present complex multifamily and commercial real estate transactions in compliance with respective lender guidelines
  • Assist with the assembly of the required reporting for the Origination team – portfolio retention and new generation as needed
  • Conduct detailed economic and demographic research to determine feasibility of transactions
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with underwriting, closing and asset management, as well as external investors and lending partners
  • Communicate with clients regarding various loan programs, determine optimal structures, and present applicable terms to generate business

Skills, Education and Experience: 

  • BA/ BS / Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Real Estate or other related fields
  • Highly developed analytical, research and written oral presentation skills
  • Ability to problem-solve and exercise independent judgment while displaying a high degree of initiative and accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to organize & prioritize projects; complete multiple tasks on schedule
  • Ability to work productively under minimal supervision
  • Must be proficient In Microsoft Office suite of applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong work ethic and pro-active team player able to work effectively with peers
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 0-20%
