Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the construction of multiple industrial development projects in various markets throughout the southeast
- Manage the selection and performance of architects, civil engineers, and other design consultants and ensure compliance with Oakmont design standards
- Manage the construction bid process, pricing evaluation, value engineering and contractor selection
- Manage contractors and construction consultants and make site inspections to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications in a timely manner and on budget
- Review and approve pay applications and change orders
- Manage tenant improvement build-out
- Track, maintain, and report on project status, schedules and budgets for Oakmont management, equity partners and lenders to keep all parties fully informed on the status of each project
- Work with Investment Managers to prepare and review conceptual land planning/site plans for projects during the pursuit stage
- Provide project budgets for due diligence, design, entitlement, permitting and construction costs throughout all project stages
- Manage the timely completion of project permitting/entitlements
- Interact with government agencies involved in entitlement and approval process; meet with municipality to solicit feedback on proposed development plans
- Develop a schedule for obtaining necessary entitlements and ensure required permits/agency approvals are obtained in a timely manner
- Provide support for due diligence activities, including selection of consultants and review of site/building due diligence, geotechnical, environmental, entitlement reports, title, and survey
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
7+ years experience in commercial real estate/construction management
Proficient in Word, Excel and Microsoft Project
Strong analytical aptitude and excellent written and oral communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects in a dynamic environment
CAD skills for conceptual site plan preparation is a plusExperience
