JOB SUMMARY

Partners with Market and LOB leadership in a defined region to develop and implement strategic priorities for office and client services which align with local business strategy. Responsible for developing and managing all activities, including but not limited to, general office support, facility administration,
regulatory compliance, and client services support. Drives operational excellence, efficiency and collaboration by allocating resources to the most productive uses. Monitors staffing levels, structure, workflow and competencies to effectively support the business. .

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Partners with Senior Managing Director, Northeast Region to drive client services and office operations strategy, ensuring efficient and effective business operations for a regional area. Implements corporate and local initiatives and initiates process improvements. Drives consistency and effectiveness of process and procedure, initiating improvements, as required.

Directs the regional office services activities. Office services will include general office support, facility administration, business licensing and continuity, compliance and risk management, employee experiences and recognition. Will oversee and direct these activities through partnership with the Facilities, Business Operations and Regional Office Services Manager(s).

Directs the regional client services support activities to drive productivity of client-facing professionals. Responsible for training and development of staff to insure the highest quality work product. Will oversee and direct these activities through partnership with Business Operations and Regional Client Services Manager(s).

Partners with local and regional senior management to develop and implement initiatives that optimize operational performance and support to the business. Drives consistency and effectiveness of process and procedure, initiating improvements where needed.

Partners with Business Operations to ensure achievement of financial goals through budgeting, strategic planning and expense monitoring.

Partners with IT, HR, Research and Marketing to ensure initiatives are implemented effectively and supported properly within the region.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages the planning, organization, and controls for a major functional area or department. May be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Monitors appropriate staffing levels and reports on utilization and deployment of human resources. Leads and supports staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance and retention. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

BA/BS from a four-year college or university; fifteen or more years related experience and/or training including at least five years of management experience; personnel and department management experience, including business planning and budgeting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience managing business operations in a customer-focused service firm with multi-location structure. Experience in Finance, HR, staff management and facilities management required. Knowledgeable about Information Technology and Market Research.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires a knowledge of financial terms and principles. Approves and oversees department budget.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Computer literate. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financial and HR platforms and Sales Force is preferred. Knowledge of real estate terminology. Ability to travel.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results. Responsible for setting department deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to co-workers, supervisor, department and/or line of business.
