Analyst- Commercial and Residential Loan and REO Sale Advisory New York, New York

Position Description

This position supports senior members of Mission Capital Advisors, LLC in their loan and REO sales efforts. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity. S/he will gain immediate knowledge and experience in the asset sales and performing/distressed loan trading business while gaining exposure to debt capital markets participants, including commercial and investment banks; specialty finance companies; and funds.

Responsibilities

1. Loan portfolio stratification and analysis
2. Preparation of due diligence materials
3. Confidentiality agreement processing/tracking
4. Manage client access to data
5. Document review
6. Analysis of market data
7. Interacting with investors
8. Assisting in closing transactions
9. Weekly investor transaction status reporting

Desired Skills & Experience

1. Prior career or internship experience in mortgage finance or real estate brokerage
2. Strong writing skills
3. Strong MS Excel skills (database skills a plus)
4. Financial modeling skills / ARGUS experience a plus
5. Ability to learn quickly
6. Attention to detail
7. Ability to work as part of a team
8. Strong drive and desire to take on responsibility
9. Likes and prioritizes work
10. Genuine interest in real estate finance / debt capital markets
