Position Summary:


The primary role will be to assist the development team in the pursuit and execution of each project throughout the entitlement process, construction and operation. The position will participate in multiple projects, touch all aspects of real estate development and interface with executive leadership on a daily basis. 


Essential Duties:

  • Support and collaborate with executive leadership on analytical and transactional aspects for an acquisition, including due diligence, market research and site feasibility.
  • Provide support to the development projects to include, but not limited to, the functions of legal, design, entitlement, construction, construction management, development and hotel brands.
  • Coordinate with the project team for consultants necessary to execute the project, including the design team, general contractor and due diligence consultants.
  • Create and maintain development schedule for deliverables required by construction and design team.
  • Participate in weekly OAC meetings, after construction start.
  • Review ongoing asset performance to optimize net operating income.
  • Monitoring capital improvement plans and budgets.
  • Tracking and identifying opportunities to improve guest satisfaction experiences.
  • Prepare detailed financial analyses of proposed developments including, but not limited to, the preparation of development budgets and pro-formas.
  • Understand capital and investment structure, including investment analysis principles such as IRR’s, Discounted Cash Flows, Cash on Cash Returns, Levered and Unlevered Returns.
  • Prepare packages for potential capital partners and debt providers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, construction management, economics or other business discipline required
  • MBA or MRED preferred
  • 2-3+ years in an analyst role within the Commercial Real Estate field
  • Advanced financial modeling / analysis 
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
  • A general understanding of commercial real estate terms and investment principles
