JOB SUMMARY
Manages small to medium sized transition projects, fully executing end to end project tasks.  Responsible for indirect leadership and support of other REAS resources across multiple departments.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities for assigned projects include managing and maintaining the project plans, assist in business requirement review, assembling cross functional teams, managing scope, and actively managing resources, costs, quality and risk. 

Creates and manages project plans; monitors and reviews project progress and timelines; adjusts schedules and plans as needed; identifies and resolves issues to ensure project(s) success.

 

Manages day-to-day execution of real estate accounting implementations, documentations and status updates for small to medium size and low to medium complexity projects.

 

Manages Real Estate Accounting Transition Analysts providing project guidance and direction to achieve project goals. 

 

Real Estate Accounting transition budget ownership and accountability to track, monitor and deliver within defined financial constraints.

 

Performs other duties as assigned. 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area.  Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination.  Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime.  Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff.  Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies.  Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Degree from a four-year college or university program with an emphasis in accounting, finance or related field required.  At least four to six years prior accounting, finance or related experience required including prior supervisory experience.  Experience with real estate accounting software preferred.

None
 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.

 

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of options in varying situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Advanced knowledge of computer software and hardware (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite Products). Ability to work in multiple accounting software applications.

 

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
