The position is a unique opportunity to join an active, entrepreneurial, and high-energy product team.   The ideal candidate will be an organized and motivated self-starter with a positive attitude, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. The Acquisitions Analyst assists with financial underwriting, property analysis, and market assessment to identify opportunities that meet our client's investment criteria. The analyst would have to use an in-house tool to perform property underwriting and analysis.

Essential Functions:

  • Underwrite potential multifamily acquisitions by analyzing historical financial statements and performing market research and analysis
  • Coordinate due diligence efforts with third parties and consultants. Review and analyze due diligence results and compare results to transaction underwriting
  • Perform extensive financial modelling of potential acquisitions, including scenario and sensitivity analysis, evaluation of alternate financing structures, development of sources and uses, and modelling discounted cash flows
  • Conduct due diligence research and analysis of rent, expense, utilities, taxes and market comparable rents
  • Underwrite a significant number of transactions and manage due diligence process

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-3 years of relevant real estate experience
  • Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling experience preferred
  • Experience with PowerPoint preferred
  • Strong data management skills with significant attention to detail
  • Strong excel modeling skills and the ability to handle large data sets

  • Ability to prioritize, track and manage multiple projects
  • Attention to detail and a desire to produce the highest quality work product
  • Superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex and diversified work-streams in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral communication skills to represent the company to investors, partners and lenders
  • Ability to travel up to 25% required
