Job Description: Assistant Database Administrator
Job Purpose: Identify, research, and resolve technical problems associated with the software to include third party interfaces. Test and document upgrades or changes to the software.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for scheduling and conducting training.
- Responsible for maintaining software change management documentation for both internal and external audits.
- Interface with several departments including Internal/External Auditors , IT, Cash Management, Revenue Control and Accounts Payable regarding procedure or policy related concerns as applicable to the database, ensuring proper procedures are being followed.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining Sentinel specific procedural manuals and the associated video training.
- Accomplishes assigned tasks and special projects in a timely fashion with accuracy and attention to details.
- Monitors third party interfaces to ensure timely receipt of the data into the Sentinel database.
- Work with third party residential and commercial managers on using Voyager and other Yardi modules.
- Support Database Administrator in maintaining approved custom reports.
- Maintain and Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Maintain ongoing professional knowledge of real estate and the processing of data using established parameters.
- Familiar with and accomplishes organization goals.
Skills/Qualifications: Knowledge of Yardi property management software and real estate; be familiar with Microsoft Office, SQL, JAVA and HTML; ability to speak clearly and be fluent in English; basic accounting skills required; organized and have the ability to multitask; professionalism; be able to do presentations.
Educational Qualifications: Bachelor degree in accounting preferred.
