Duncan Hillsley Capital (DHC) is a value-oriented commercial real estate investment company based in Boca Raton, Florida. POSITION SUMMARY
DHC has an immediate need for an experienced individual to assist with all aspects of corporate level accounting in the firm’s growing investment portfolio which includes multi-family, retail, and mixed-use. This individual will take responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the accounting department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and assisting with property acquisitions and dispositions. The ideal candidate has related experience in real estate and is a diligent worker with excellent written and oral communication skills. Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting in the closing process of real estate acquisitions and dispositions
- Coordinating the formation of new companies and opening bank accounts
- Managing investor reporting through Juniper Square and providing lender reporting
- Processing capital calls and distributions to investors
- Billing and collection of reimbursable expenses
- Processing of corporate level accounts payable
- Calculation, tracking and collection of asset management and construction fees
- Interface with clients, bankers, investors, property managers, attorneys and third-party consultants
Qualifications:
- BS in accounting
- 3+ years’ experience in accounting / bookkeeping
- Real Estate accounting experience is a plus
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel modeling skills and competency in other MS Office applications
- Diligent, highly accurate and extreme attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills
- Demonstration of critical thinking and problem solving
- Excellent communication, team work and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
